A generation not retaining the knowledge of God therefore it is given over to what it wants to do. Ro. 1:24,26,28/2 Thess 2:11

Apostasy means: Character opposite the remnant

VS. 16-17 – As to the Righteous, through his faith he will live” Hab 2:4/ Ezk. 18:(20) 30-32

VS 18-21 –

1. “Hold the Truth in unrighteousness”/ opposite Eph 4:11-16
2. “Knew God, Glorified Him not, neither Thankful” “Knew” – TO know, understand completely
   1. Not Praising, Honoring and Thanking God in the realm of His creation, creates a lack of Gratitude in Life. 1 Thess. 5:18/Tev 7:11-12/Rev 11:17
   2. VS. 21 – “Vain” – To cause, become vain, proud, worthless (A process) Jer. 23: (16) 15-22/ 2 Kings 19(15) 5-23
   3. Jer 10:3 – A Kin to the word expect you have arrived – have become worthless – Trip over
   4. This word in Greek or Hebrew denotes, a willful act the giving over to worthlessness – Vain “
   5. Self-will/Self-Ruin – A forever partners in crime – Jonah 2:8 – “lying vanities”
3. Then degrades to an attitude of worthless inner reasonings or opinions
4. VS 22 – Become “So wise”, can’t be told anything (5,6,7 – Next Week)
